Darren Bent has completed his record-breaking £24million move from Sunderland to Aston Villa.Villa are splashing out an initial £18million for Bent but additional add-ons mean the final figure could rise by another £6million, making it their biggest ever signing.
The England player is in line to make his debut in Saturday evening's home Premier League clash with Manchester City.
Bent has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Midlands club after agreeing personal terms thought to be worth around £70,000 a week.
Bent’s former club, Tottenham, are understood to be due a sell-on fee, thought to be around 10 per cent.
