Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is continuing to scour the transfer market for new purchases and his latest target is the young Ajax defender Gregory Van der Wiel who is also coveted by White Hart Lane boss Harry Redknapp.Tottenham have been linked with Van der Wiel for some time now and it has only been recently that City have shown an interest in the 21 year old who has a £17 Million clause written in to his contract, a fee that will not put off either Man City or Tottenham.If Man City do sign Van der Wiel it will show that they are not after just established superstars but also very promising youngsters, for their part Tottenham are always looking at young talent and Van der Wiel certainly fits the criteria.
It is now just a question of whether Van Der Wiel wants to go to White Hart Lane or the Eastlands
