Manchester United Chase Sneijder

Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson is weighing up a move for Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder in the summer transfer window.Reports in the Sunday Mirror suggest Ferguson is keen to sign the Dutch international even though the midfielder has just recently penned a new deal to keep him at the San Siro until 2015.The Old Trafford manager sees the 26-year-old as a long-term replacement for aging midfielder Paul Scholes.
The Inter attacking-midfielder has returned to form and has helped the club secure a place in the Champions League quarter-final against German side Schalke and a possible semi-final against Manchester United.Massimo Moratti, the Inter president has spoken of the situation saying: "The interest from Manchester United in Snijder is real, but i didn't look into it. My only interest is seeing Sneijder play here for many more years to come."
Since joining Inter from Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2009 Sneijder has made 70 appearances and scores 14 goals in all competitions. The only stumbling block at the present time is the £40million price tag that the Italian club have put on their prize asset along with the players £140,000 a week wages
