£13m fee agreed for Spurs striker

Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala have reportedly agreed to sign Roman Pavlyuchenko from Tottenham.
According to talkSPORT, the Dagestan club have had an offer of £13 million accepted for the striker, as they continue to make great strides in the transfer market.Anzhi Makhachkala were taken over in January, by 45 year old Russian Billionaire Suleyman Kerimov and he is looking to spend big to turn a 20 year old, mid-table side, into serious CL challengers and apparently Roman Pavlyuchenko is one of several players on their shopping list. They have secured the services of Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos and highly-rated PSV Eindhoven winger Balázs Dzsudzsák.Aside from Pavlyuchenko, Anzhi are supposedly one of five serious bidders for Brazilian legend in waiting Neymar, though at this stage, that may be more about raising their profile than anything else, as you would assume the player would see his future elsewhere, but the fact they have got to a stage where they are mentioned in the same breaths as the likes of Real Madrid for a player, says much about their ambitions and also their willingness to spend huge sums of money.

And now it would appear that Russia international Pavlyuchenko could become their next high-profile addition as Spurs look to clear out some excessive baggage this summer.
