Bolton Miss Out On Chilean Defender
Bolton Wanderers have missed out on Chilean right-back Stefano Magnasco after he agreed a new contract with Universidad Catolica. The Trotters had been keen on offering a deal to Magnasco after inviting him over to England to train with them for a fortnight, during which time he impressed manager Owen Coyle.Coyle even included him in a specially arranged closed door friendly but Wanderers baulked at making his stay permanent after being put off by Catolica's valuation of the talented youngster. The 18-year-old has now put pen to paper on a four-year contract to play in the Copa Libertadores instead.
