Samba set for £8M QPR Move

Chris Samba will ignore Harry Redknapp's Spurs and looks set to join QPR instead after Mark Hughes' appointment at Loftus Road today. Samba was on QPR's list of targets before Hughes took charge but was understood to be 'lukewarm' about playing under Neil Warnock who was sacked on Sunday after a run of poor results. However, the £8million-rated defender would be much happier to link up with the man who brought him to the Premier League from Germany while he was in the Ewood Park hotseat. It has now been reported that Samba has told friends he is excited about linking up with a manager who gave him his break, but QPR will first have to match Rovers valuation for the player, who signed a new deal with Blackburn only last season.
