Liverpool target ponders move

Liverpool target Seydou Keita has increased speculation that he could be on the way to Anfield in the summer. The Mali international, currently at Barcelona, was strongly linked with a move to join Liverpool in the transfer window back in January but the deal never came off, but it may now be back on for the summer. Reds boss Kenny Dalglish is keen to build on their Carling Cup success and is looking to continue strengthening his side in the summer with a number of players from across Europe being linked. Keita is presently with the European Champions but he has yet to agree a new deal with the Catalan giants and is looking for a more regular first team spot, which is proving hard to come by at Barcelona, he has now admitted that the prospect of a move to the Reds is one that interests him. "A challenge elsewhere would appeal to me, and Liverpool are a great team with great players," he told Talksport. "We will wait until the end of the season to see what happens. I love Barcelona, it is difficult to find a better team than them, but I am ambitious and want to play football every week."
