Aurelio set for Anfield exit

Liverpool defender Fabio Aurelio looks likely to be on his way out of Anfield in the summer when his contract comes to an end. The Brazilian has not discussed new terms at the club and, despite his popularity with the fans at Anfield, he looks to be on his way back to his homeland. Aurelio has not been able to find himself a regular spot in the first team and has only made two appearances, once against Oldham in the FA Cup and a brief appearance as a substitute against Wolves in the Premier League. His place in the side has gone to summer signing Jose Enrique and with youngsters coming through and the versatility of Glen Johnson the injury plagued defender is now way down the pecking order, although he himself has not given up hope of a new deal. He told the Liverpool Echo: "I am feeling good," he said. "I am enjoying the training sessions every day and improving. I am available and waiting for an opportunity to get on the pitch again. "It's up to the manager to decide who is involved in each match, but my aim is to be available as much as possible and see what his thoughts are."
