Baines Set for £15m Manchester United Move
Everton face a battle to keep hold of England left-back Leighton Baines after Manchester United contacted the club to make an offer.Reports suggest that Manchester United supremo David Gill has been in touch with Everton chief Bill Kenwright to make an opening offer of £12m for Baines, an offer which is almost certainly going to be turned down. However Manchester United are ready to match Everton's valuation of the player thought to be £15mBaines is under contract at the club and David Moyes has no need to sell but if the offer were to reach £15m then he could use the cash to finance his own moves in the transfer market. It is widely thought that Moyes will allow one of his highly valued players to leave this summer so he can add to his squad and if the offer is enough then Baines could be the one.
