Juventus preparing to sell Aaron Ramsey

Juventus are ready to cut their losses with Aaron Ramsey after just one season in Turin, according to reports in Italy. Arsenal lost Ramsey to the Italian giants on a free transfer last summer, as the Welshman sought a new challenge in his career. But the spell in Italy is yet to really get off the ground, with Ramsey struggling to shake off injury concerns. Ramsey signed a deal worth a reported £400,000-a-week with Juventus, but has made just 12 appearances in Serie A this season. Tuttosport claim Juventus have been left frustrated with Ramsey’s fitness issues and want to cash in on the midfielder.

The Serie A club has a huge wage bill, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, Matthijs de Ligt and Adrien Rabiot on huge salaries. Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri offered his public backing to Ramsey last month, but the 29-year-old has scored just once this season and is yet to register an assist for his team. Ramsey is under contract at Juventus until 2023 and came off the bench in the defeat to Hellas Verona on Saturday.

Robin van Persie on brink of Arsenal Exit

Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus have all made bids for Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.The Holland forward admitted earlier in the summer that he will not be signing an extension to his current contract at the Emirates, which has just 12 more months to run.That left the Gunners facing the difficult decision to either cash in on the 28-year-old now or risk losing him on a free next summer.It looks like they have opted for the former after it was revealed Premier League rivals United and City as well as Italian giants Juve have made offers in the region of £15million for the striker.United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has already added Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell to his squad this summer, but with Dimitar Berbatov poised to leave, the addition of van Persie would be a timely boost to the Red Devils' forward line.Arsenal are believed to be holding out for a fee in excess of £25million for the former Feyenoord man, who moved to north London for £2.75 million in 2004.However, it has also emerged that van Persie will not travel with the Gunners squad to Asia at the weekend for their three match pre-season tour, suggesting an agreement may be edging closer.

Inter set to land Manchester City Left Back

Manchester City will reportedly snub Juventus' bid to take Aleksandar Kolarov on loan next season in order to sell him to Inter Milan.The 26-year-old Serbia international left-back confirmed earlier this week that he will hold future talks with his agent having become frustrated with life at the Etihad Stadium, where he dropped behind Gael Clichy in the pecking order last season following his arrival from Arsenal 12 months ago.And Kolarov, who has made 36 appearances for City - only 12 last season - since his arrival from Lazio in 2010 for £17million, has been linked with a move back to Italy's Serie A this summer.Inter Milan have already been linked with a swoop to take the player, who City would reportedly want £9million fort his signature, while Juventus have now been linked with a possible season-long loan offer.But, with City boss Roberto Mancini looking to reduce his wage bill and bring in some funds following a massive outlay on new signings in the past two years, it is thought they will snub Juve and hold out for a bid from Inter or any other interested party during the transfer window.If no firm bids come in it will not be a problem for Mancini as he sees Kolarov as the ideal back-up to Clichy, but the player is unlikely to settle for another season of kicking his heels on the bench.

Manchester City Raid Arsenal for van Persie

Robin van Persie is set for a sensational £25m move to Manchester City.Van Persie will hold crunch talks over his future on Wednesday and Arsenal fear he will tell them he wants to leave.City are leading a three-way battle for van Persie with Manchester United and Juventus but it is believed the newly-crowned Premier League champions are in pole position.Big-spending City are prepared to more than treble his wages to £250,000-a-week to snap up another Arsenal player after already signing Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and Kolo Toure. Wenger has already insisted he will not sell van Persie to City for any price but Arsenal will not be able to match the contract on offer and then must decide whether to hold him to his contract or sell and cut their losses.Arsenal's board are believed to be ready to hold van Persie to his contract - but that may be tested by City's determination and whether the Arsenal striker forces the issue.It is another painful saga for Arsenal fans after losing Cesc Fabregas and Nasri last summer and it has become clear in recent weeks that van Persie has been reluctant to commit himself long term.

Spurs Close To Striker Deal

Tottenham are working on a deal to sign Juventus striker Amauri ahead of the transfer window opening. Harry Redknapp is on the look out for a new striker as doubts surround the future of Roman Pavlyuchenko and a move for Amauri looks to be on the cards. The Brazilian-born Italian international has fallen completely out of favour with Juve and has yet to make an appearance this season. Clubs in Italy are keen but his agent Ernesto Bronzetti, says a move to the Premier League is on the cards and Tottenham are said to be the club ready to sign him. "The player is close to signing for an English club," Bronzetti revealed. "Genoa want him too, as do Palermo , but he would prefer to go to Spain or England. "Of course, if a top Italian club were to make an offer, then it would be difficult to say no, and Napoli are one of them."

Liverpool Reject Raul Meireles Bid

Liverpool have turned down an offer from Juventus of cash plus midfielder Felipe Melo for Raul Meireles. However, the Daily Mirror reports that the Anfield side have told the Juve that they can have the Portugal midfielder for £13.5 million in cash, just a year after he was bought from FC Porto for £10.5 million.
Meireles  has been linked with a move away from the club as manager Kenny Dalglish weighs up his midfield options having signed Jordan Henderson from Sunderland and being linked with a bid for Blackpool’s Charlie Adam. Plus he needs to bring in some cash to counter his summer spending spree, which could reach as much as £60 million if bids are successful for Adam, Aston Villa’s Stewart Downing and Ipswich’s Connor Wickham, while another Anfield target St Etienne winger Dmitri Payet, could cost as much as £11 million.

However, Liverpool’s rejection of Melo is being felt just as keenly by the Brazil international, who has made it clear he is unhappy about being offered as a makeweight in any deal for Merieles.

“Let us say that Juve are not respecting me, or at least that’s the impression I get,” he said angrily yesterday.

“I’m not just anyone. I’m not a bargaining chip to be used to reach anybody.”

Melo has been at Juve since signing from Fiorentina in 2009.

Manchester City head race for Alexis Sanchez

Udinese last night claimed Manchester City were leading the race to sign their Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, though they insisted that a concrete offer matching their £35m valuation has not yet been forthcoming.The comments by the Italian club's owner Giampaolo Pozzo, a legendary wheeler-dealer, sound like an attempt to whip up an auction now that the 22-year-old's mooted move to Barcelona has not taken place.Udinese may well delay a decision until the conclusion of their Champions League play-off tie.
Sanchez is one of City's top targets, though, and in confirming their interest, Pozzo did not suggest there would be the reported competition from Manchester United or Chelsea.
"The right offer has not yet arrived," he said. "Alexis is a player everybody wants, but he is also a player with a specific price. It is not easy for anyone to buy him."And if he and his agent (Fernando Felicevich) are intelligent people, they will know that firstly we cannot give him away, and secondly if people are not prepared to give him the right consideration, it is better to stay in Udinese than to risk getting burned out or seeing his reputation suffer.

"(Internazionale, Juventus, Barcelona, City) are all interested but concrete offers, for his real value (£35m), have not arrived. I think it is 50-50 that he will stay here, but if he does go I would say that the (likelihood) is to City, because English football is the richest and knows how to evaluate its talent.

"Inter? There has only been a request to talk, but we have not spoken in any definitive form. These things are not done until the last minute, though," he added
