A second-half burst from Tottenham saw them claim a vital three points in the race for the top four as they beat Manchester City 3-1.
Spurs made the brighter start, but it was City who took the lead on five minutes following great work on the right by Carlos Tevez and James Milner, the latter finding Samir Nasri in the box and the Frenchman fired in from 10 yards. Nasri almost doubled the lead a few moments later, latching onto Pablo Zabaleta's ball but he couldn't direct his effort goalwards due to good pressure from Hugo Lloris. That was the first of a string of saves the French keeper was forced to make, as after 38 minutes he got down low to his right to block an Edin Dzeko shot, before shortly saving smartly from a close-range Tevez header. The visitors continued to control proceedings in the second half and, although Spurs did push for an equaliser, the hosts struggled to create any real chances. However, that all changed on 74 minutes as, after good work from Walker, Gareth Bale angled a wonderful ball across the box and Clint Dempsey tapped in at the back post. Jermain Defoe then fired them into the lead five minutes later, cutting in from the left and smashing home. Bale then made it 3-1 after 81 minutes, latching onto Tom Huddlestone's through ball before exquisitely chipping over Hart to wrap-up a vital three points in his side's bid for a top-four spot.

Manchester City strolled to a 3-1 win at home to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Goals from Yaya Toure, Edin Dzeko and Carlos Tevez at Eastlands continued City's unbeaten start to their title defence.

With Jose Mourinho, manager of City's Champions League opponents Real Madrid, watching from the stands, the hosts did concede an equaliser to Bobby Zamora in the second half, rekindling memories of the last time the clubs faced each other.

Four months on from that last extraordinary meeting between the sides, in which City's 3-2 victory on the concluding day of last season brought them their first English title in 44 years, Mancini's men took the lead after 15 minutes.

Following a prolonged spell of City pressure, David Silva's right-wing corner was met at the far post by Tevez whose first-time volley rebounded against Zamora with the unmarked Yaya Toure handily-place to slot the ball in from 10 yards out.

It was an impressive opening from a City side which did not include any of their five transfer deadline day signings - Javi Garcia, Matija Nastasic, Maicon, Scott Sinclair and Richard Wright -- in their starting line-up.

Indeed, City were so dominant QPR's only relief came when another of the home team's recent signings, midfielder Jack Rodwell hit a ridiculous back-pass which almost bounced into his own goal from half-way.

Robert Green subsequently saved well from Silva and the Spanish international forward should have done better when he took Aleksandar Kolarov's superb cross-field pass in his stride but waited to shoot and saw his effort charged down by Fabio da Silva.

The second half opened with Dzeko releasing Tevez who advanced and had a strong shot stopped by the chest of goalkeeper Green at QPR's near post and the relentless waves of Blue pressure continued as Silva cleverly played in over-lapping full-back Pablo Zabaleta whose well-directed shot struck the underside of the crossbar.

City's defensive frailties have been exposed already this season, in conceding four goals in their opening two matches. So while it was against the run of play, Rangers' equaliser after 58 minutes was not quite as unpredictable a goal as it should have been.

Andrew Johnson dispossessed Silva in midfield and sprinted into the City area where his fierce shot was kept out by the acrobatic dive of Joe Hart, Zamora reacting quickly to stoop and head the rebound into the home goal.

Still, given the manner of City's victory in last season's corresponding fixture, the fact it took Mancini's team just three minutes to regain the lead was no surprise.

Kolarov found the space, and Tevez, in the QPR area, with the forward skilfully taking the ball to the byline where his cross was headed in emphatically by Dzeko.

There was still plenty of City possession before the final whistle, and some anxious moments for home supporters too. QPR defender Ryan Nelsen twice came close from set-pieces, his bicycle kick flying beyond the far post and then the New Zealand international slid in and almost converted Esteban Granero's free-kick.

But Argentina striker Tevez completed the scoring in the 93rd minute when he deflected Dzeko's wayward strike past the wrong-footed Green.

Tevez Set For Manchester City Exit

Manchester City are set to sell Carlos Tevez to AC Milan and will use the cash to fund a swoop for Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.City boss Roberto Mancini has been told he has to make room for the arrival of Van Persie and has already agreed to sell Emmanuel Adebayor to Tottenham and now Tevez looks set to follow him out of the exit door.The departure of both players will bring in transfer revenue and also take a large chunk off the City wage bill that will free up cash to fund a deal for Van Persie.Edin Dzeko is a player that could also move on with Milan again keen but reports now claim that Tevez is the player who will head to Italy.A source close to City has been quoted as saying: "They are selling Tevez to Milan. You'll see it in the next few days. If, for any reason, that deal hits a complication, City may sell Edin Dzeko to Milan instead. But, for the moment, all efforts are focused on selling Tevez. That will open up the Van Persie deal."Manchester United are also still in the hunt but City are favourites and should be able to step up their bid this week once Tevez has been sold.

City Lift the Title in Dramatic style

Manchester City scored twice in stoppage time to be crowned champions for the first time in 44 years by beating Queens Park Rangers to win the Premier League on goal difference amid almost unbearable drama.
City's hopes of claiming the title looked to slipping away as QPR - already safe after Stoke City drew with Bolton - held on desperately to an unlikely lead and Manchester United led at Sunderland.City, needing three points to clinch the prize, led through Pablo Zabaleta at half-time but Djibril Cisse levelled for QPR just after the break.QPR lost Joey Barton after he was shown a red card following a clash with Carlos Tevez but then stunned the Etihad Stadium into silence as Jamie Mackie headed them in front.City set up permanent camp in QPR's half but looked to be condemned to misery as QPR keeper Paddy Kenny produced a string of saves to ensure Mark Hughes' side held firm.Then, as the clock ticked into five minutes of additional time, City and their supporters were transported from the depths of despondency the highest high in the space of moments.Substitute Edin Dzeko headed an equaliser two minutes into the extra period and then - in a stadium almost bordering on hysteria - Sergio Aguero drove into the penalty area and flashed a finish past Kenny.The Etihad Stadium was an explosion of joy and relief as 44 years of frustration poured out, Aguero wheeling his shirt about his head in celebration and manager Roberto Mancini, who had cut an increasingly frantic figure, racing around on the turf in ecstasy.As Mike Dean's final whistle blew, the reality dawned on City as they capped a run of form that has seen them overturn United's eight-point advantage in the space of five weeks.And for supporters who have suffered watching the successes of neighbours United under Sir Alex Ferguson, this was the perfect moment of redemption.The atmosphere was a mixture of the tense and triumphal as the teams came out to a torrent of golden ticker tape raining down from the stands.

Yaya Toure had been struggling for some time with a hamstring injury, but he was able to play in Zabaleta and his shot squirmed through the hands of QPR keeper Kenny and in off the far post.QPR were level shortly after the restart when Cisse took advantage of Joleon Lescott's poor header to beat Hart - but they were then plunged even further into a rearguard action when Barton was sent off.

 He will claim he was provoked by Tevez, but he can have no complaints as he raised his arm to the Argentine and then kicked his fellow countryman Aguero after he received the red card.QPR lifted the siege in stunning fashion when Mackie stole in at the far post to head them in front and all City's efforts were thwarted as Kenny saved well from David Silva, Aguero and Dzeko among others.It looked like the day that had started for City with such anticipation and expectation was going to end in despair - then came the finale and the goals from Dzeko and Aguero that will live forever in the memories of every City fan who witnessed them.

Manchester City 4-0 West Bromwich Albion

Manchester City regained hope in the Premier League title race after closing the gap on Manchester United to five points. Carlos Tevez and David Silva added to Sergio Aguero's double as Roberto Mancini's side eased past West Brom to record their first win in three games, while league leaders United were beaten 1-0 at Wigan. The title race seemed as good as over before kick-off but the home side made a bright start to the match with Aguero firing in from 25 yards after just six minutes. City came flying out of the traps but it was an otherwise slow first-half with the only other opportunity falling to Micah Richards who rounded he keeper before his shot seemed to be blocked by the arm of Craig Dawson on its way in. It was a subdued atmosphere inside the Etihad Stadium and this was represented in the performance on the pitch. This changed after 50 minutes however when news of a Wigan goal against Manchester United filtered through and Mancini's side doubled their lead through Aguero's neat finish from close range. The home crowd sensed another turning point in the season and Eastlands was rocking as Samir Nasri almost made it three with a left-footed strike moments later. City didn't have to wait long to extend their lead as Tevez marked his first start since September with a goal, easing Aguero's cross home from six-yards. Silva found the back of the net for the first time in over four months when he delightfully chipped Ben Foster from inside the box to round off a fine evening for the City faithful. Jonas Olsson should have pulled back a consolation goal for West Brom when he headed a corner over from a glorious position, but the Baggies came into the fixture having virtually ensured safety with a win over Blackburn on Saturday and seemed relaxed all evening. The evening's results puts the pressure back on United who suddenly look less comfortable at the top of the Premier League and still have to travel to Eastlands to play Manchester City on April 30.

Tevez: I’m sorry

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has apologised “sincerely and unreservedly” for his conduct in recent months. The Argentinian has also withdrawn his appeal against City’s fine of six weeks’ wages for gross misconduct, which was due to be heard by the Premier League in the coming days. In a statement released by City on Tuesday night, Tevez said: “I wish to apologise sincerely and unreservedly to everybody I have let down and to whom my actions over the last few months have caused offence. My wish is to concentrate on playing football for Manchester City Football Club.” Manager Roberto Mancini had long maintained he would only consider Tevez for selection again after an apology. Tevez sparked a dispute with the club when he refused to warm up during the Champions League loss at Bayern Munich in September and then spent more than three months in Argentina without permission. The 28-year-old reported back to the club last week after failing to secure a move during the January transfer window and says he now wants to fight for a place in the team. Tevez has not played for City since that infamous night at Munich’s Allianz Arena on September 27. Tevez was suspended and later fined for misconduct before he flew back to South America to begin his unauthorised leave on November 7. While away, Tevez was found guilty of gross misconduct and City took a firm line over his potential sale. Tevez, who had twice previously submitted transfer requests, was estimated to have lost £9.3million in wages or bonuses over various matters. He failed in his initial appeal against the fine of six weeks’ wages for gross misconduct – thought to be around £1.2million – to the club board but lodged another with the Premier League. His withdrawal of that appeal may now ease his return to action with the title-chasers.

Tevez No Show Spells More Trouble

Carlos Tevez could face fresh disciplinary action at Manchester City after he failed to turn up for training on Wednesday. The striker returned to Argentina on Tuesday but the club were expecting him back at training on Wednesday to continue his personal fitness programme. Tevez has not contested the five disciplinary charges brought against him by the club following the row on the bench in City's Champions League clash at Bayern Munich but could now face further action after failing to report for training this week. Tevez's PR Advisor Paul McCarthy told Sky Sports News: "He's gone to see his family. They flew back when he flew back, when he was suspended by Manchester City, and he's gone back to see them. "We've said all along that Carlos is aware of situation in terms of getting back to his fitness. I can't really say much more until he's back in the country." It is believed Tevez hopes to secure a move away from Eastlands in January despite City boss Roberto Mancini admitting recently he could yet have a future at the club if the row was resolved.

Mancini :Tevez Finished At Man City

FURIOUS Roberto Mancini has told Carlos Tevez he will never play for Manchester City again. Mancini erupted after Tevez refused to go on as a second-half sub as City lost against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.Manager Mancini will appeal to City chairman Khaldoon al Mubarak to support his action and it is now certain Tevez - who asked for a move in the summer - will be booted out when the January transfer window opens.Mancini also warned Edin Dzeko he will follow Tevez out of the door if he repeats his show of dissent after being substituted on a night of mutiny in the Allianz Arena."With me, he is finished," said Mancini. "He refused to go on to the pitch. But I decide this, not Carlos. If one player earns a lot of money, plays for Manchester City in the Champions League and he behaves like this, for me he can't play. Never. "I'm really disappointed that a top player refuses to go and help his team-mates in an important match like tonight."What I said to Carlos is between me, him and the team. If we want to improve like a team, like a squad, Carlos cannot play with us. With me, no. It is finished. "I will speak with Khaldoon. He is the chairman and he will decide everything. Do you think at Bayern Munich or Milan or Manchester United a player can behave like this? No. This is the answer." Mancini explained that he was going to send on Tevez minutes after replacing Dzeko with midfielder Nigel De Jong.

No moves for Tevez

Roberto Mancini thinks Carlos Tevez will stay at Manchester City - because nobody wants him. After a fraught summer, during which Tevez handed in an official transfer request and was unsuccessfully pursued by former club Corinthians, the Argentina striker returned to training on Monday. It was still anticipated he would leave City before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, with Inter Milan leading the chase. However, Mancini insists there has been no contact. And with time ticking down, he would welcome the prospect of Tevez staying where he is. "It is two weeks until the end of the market," said Mancini. "I think it is difficult for him to leave. "I don't know if he will stay but at the moment, there isn't a team who want to take him. I would be happy if he stays."

Mario Balotelli we don't need Tevez

Mario Balotelli insists Manchester City have a good enough squad to succeed this season, even if Carlos Tevez does leave the club this summer.The Argentine striker had looked set to move back to South America with Corinthians, but his former club have pulled out because there is not enough time to complete the deal before the close of the Brazilian transfer window.
Balotelli told reporters: "It does not matter if Carlos is here or not."If Carlos is here it's good, while if he goes away I'm sure someone else will arrive."But how I play is all down to me.
"It doesn't matter who else is at Manchester City."Carlos is a great player, so I hope he's going to stay. But I've seen great players leave clubs before."It happened at Inter. This is football.We have a good team here."If a player wants to leave it's his decision but we'll still be a good team."

The Italian striker admits that he could have done better during his first season in England, and believes he will prove his worth this season.
"I thought my first season was so-so," he added.

"I know I can score a lot more. I will show City fans this season what I can do."

Carlos Tevez's Transfer is Off

Manchester City's Argentina striker Carlos Tevez's proposed £40m move to Brazilian side Corinthians is off.

City thought a deal had been agreed for Tevez, 27, to join the Brazilian team having told the Premier League club he wished to return home to South America.

But Corinthians said there was not enough time to complete the deal before the Brazilian transfer window closed.

Corinthians did say however, they still wished to sign Tevez in the future and hoped a deal could be done in January.

"The board of Corinthians hereby officially announce the impossibility of hiring Carlos Tevez," said the club.

Corinthians' bid for Tevez accepted

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Corinthians for the sale of Carlos Tevez.City turned down a £40 million bid from the Brazilian club last week, and were believed to be holding out for £50 million for a player who finished as joint top scorer in the Premier League last season with 20 goals.However, speaking on the club's pre-season tour of the USA, Mancini told Sky Sports News: "We have an agreement with Corinthians but Carlos now is still a City player."Asked whether Tevez would now be discussing personal terms, Mancini replied: "I don't know this. I repeat, at the moment, Carlos is still a City player."I want to wait. At the moment we are here, we are working with the other guys. We should think about this.''Defender Joleon Lescott admitted he would be disappointed to see his team-mate depart but understood his wishes.

Lescott told Sky Sports News: "We'll be disappointed if Carlos leaves but it was down to the club and Carlos what was best for each other and they have come to an agreement so I wish both parties all the best.

"Carlos is his own man. Last season he played to 110% every game so none of us will be holding any grudges towards him and we'll wish him all the best if he does leave."

Want-away Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero is the likely replacement for Tevez at Manchester City.

Corinthians Lodge Bid For Tevez

Manchester City have received a  £37million offer for Carlos Tevez from his former club Corinthians.
With the Brazilian transfer deadline in 10 days, they hope to force through a deal that will take the Argentina striker back to South America.As news broke in Brazil, City were considering their options. Do they sell for less than the £50m they demanded - but flog an unhappy player to another continent - or hold out for more cash? The decision rests with owner Sheik Mansour. Corinthians, who broke their transfer record when they bought Tevez for the first time, from Boca Juniors for £13.7m in 2005, are funding the new bid with sponsorship and TV rights money.With a new training centre and 68,000-capacity stadium that is costing £310m to build and is due to open in 2013, they expect to become the biggest club in South America and see Tevez as central to their ambitions.It is understood that Corinthians, who bring in £50m every year from their TV rights and £23m from main shirt sponsors Neo Quimica, can also satisfy the 27-year-old star's high wage demands.
Tevez has expressed a strong desire to leave Eastlands, citing a desperate need to live closer to his children. A return to Brazil would be attractive and the striker is now keen to see the clubs agree a fee.
Tevez was a major success at Corinthians, scoring 25 goals in 38 league games. He captained the side to the title and won the South American Footballer of the Year award.
When he signed for Corinthians for the first time, his mentor Kia Joorabchian said: 'There was a dinner for 400 Corinthians officials but 3,000 people forced their way into the room and 20,000 lined the streets. He started slowly but once he started scoring goals, it was phenomenal.'

Manchester City in Lavezzi talks

Manchester City have been in talks with Napoli with a view to signing Argentina international Ezequiel Lavezzi.City manager Roberto Mancini's agent says that the club view the 26-year-old as a replacement for captain Carlos Tevez, who is set to leave Eastlands this summer.Mancini's agent, Giorgio De Giorgis, also suggested that England midfielder Gareth Barry could move to Italy as part of the transfer.He told Radio CRC: "Manchester City's interest in Lavezzi could be a reality."(City) has been negotiating for the past few months with Napoli, regardless of Tevez's situation. City has spoken to Napoli about Pocho (Lavezzi).
"But 31million euros for Lavezzi, I think it's excessive."However, to find a player who is ready like Pocho is, it's not easy.

"Manchester City could include a player in the deal, but I don't know what player could interest Napoli.

"The only one could be (Gareth) Barry, who is an England international and does not have a high salary."

Carlos Tevez confirms his desire to leave Manchester City this summer

Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez has rocked the club again after releasing a statement saying he wants to leave the club with immediate effect.The Argentine international has reportedly struggled to settle in Manchester and has spoken of his desire to leave the club in the past, however after lifting the FA Cup and qualifying for the Champions League it was thought Tevez would stay at the club however after discussions with club owner Sheik Mansoor the Argentine has gone public with his desire to leave the club.
Tevez’s daughters currently live in Argentina with his estranged wife Vanesa, and the striker admitted not being near his family had a huge influence on his decision.

“It is with great regret that I have to inform Manchester City of my wish to leave the club,” Tevez said in his statement.

“I would like to state that I have great respect for the club, its supporters and the owner, Sheik Mansoor, who has been nothing other than respectful to me.

“I hope that the people understand the difficult circumstances I have been living under the past 12 months, in regards to my family.

“Living without my children in Manchester has been incredibly challenging for me. Everything I do, I do for my daughters, Katie and Florencia. I need to be closer to them and to spend more time with them.”

“I need them to be happy because my life is about them now. I need to be in a place where they can adapt.”

Tevez made 44 appearances for City last season, scoring 24 goals and driving them to a third placed finish in the Premier League and winning the FA Cup – the club’s first major trophy in 35 years. However despite this success and being idolised by the club’s fans the Argentine asked for understanding in his decision.

“Being captain of Manchester City, qualifying for the Champions League, winning the FA Cup and finishing as top-scorer last season has made me very proud,” he added.

“I hope that most of the City fans will understand that I have given them my all on the pitch and that my dedication to the city cause has been 100 per cent on the pitch.

“I hope I have done my bit to help City continue their progress towards their ambition to be champions of England and to advance in the Champions League.

“I have no doubt that the players and management of City will achieve great success in the future.”

Tevez rubbishes betting scam rumours

Carlos Tevez has denied any knowledge of a potential betting scam in one of their Europa League games last season.
A Greek court is examining evidence that City's clash with Aris in February was the target of a betting scam.
Prosecutors are reported to presented extracts of a phone conversation in which one of the Greek team's players claims he would approach Tevez to help them pull off the sting.
Aris midfielder Kostas Mendrinos is heard suggesting he could ask his team mate - former City player Nery Castillo - to persuade Tevez to let the Greek side kick off.
But a spokesman for Tevez denied any knowledge of, or involvement in, the alleged scam.
"It is impossible," said the spokesman.
"Carlos has never heard such a thing and no one ever approached him."
Despite being a former City player, Castillo and Tevez never actually played together.

Tevez:I will not return to Manchester, not even for a holiday

Carlos Tevez has said he will not go back to Manchester even for a holiday when he leaves City at the end of his contract.

The 27-year-old has been linked with an exit from the Eastlands outfit with both Juventus and Inter seemingly interested in the Argentina international.

Tevez admits settling down in Manchester has been tough, while claiming he has reconciled his relationship with Albiceleste coach Sergio Batista after making the provisional Copa America squad.

"There is nothing to do in Manchester. I speak bad English still. When my contract ends in three years then I will not return to Manchester, not even for a holiday," he told Playfutbol.

On his return to the national team, after being dropped in the past for previous misdemeanours, he added: "We spoke about certain things and I told him [Batista] how I felt. He thought something of me, but I said it was not like that. In anycase, everything is clear now."

The Manchester City striker had previously thought about hanging up his boots next year, but that appears unlikely.

"I have always said I would retire when I was 28, but I think I will continue a bit more," he concluded.

Crouch's strike here late last season sent Spurs into Europe's elite competition at City's expense - and he was unwittingly involved at the same end again as he deflected James Milner's cross past keeper Carlo Cudicini in the first half.
It proved enough to give Roberto Mancini's side the win they required after a tension-riddled affair controlled for long spells by Spurs, who dominated possession in the second half to test the nerves of an increasingly anxious City support.
Celebrations swept around Eastlands as referee Mike Dean sounded his final whistle to send City into the Champions League, the destination desired by the club's Abu Dhabi hierarchy from the moment they started to bankroll the club in such lavish fashion.
And Carlos Tevez added to the sense of elation for City with a lively cameo as a late substitute in which he set up a chance for Patrick Vieira and was only denied a goal by a fine stop from Cudicini, who replaced the injured Heurelho Gomes
Tevez must now wait to discover if he has convinced Mancini that he has recovered sufficiently from the hamstring injury that has sidelined him for a month to play a significant part against Stoke City in Saturday's FA Cup Final at Wembley.
He was forced to wait until the closing stages before his introduction with the game so finely poised - a state of affairs that proved highly frustrating for the Argentine and he appeared to vent his feelings in Mancini's direction as he waited to enter the action.
City's win also brought joy for Stoke, who now qualify for next season's Europa League as a result of securing a place at Wembley.
Spurs, in contrast, now face a battle with Liverpool to finish fifth and they can feel unfortunate not to have earned at least a point from a spirited performance, with City keeper Joe Hart keeping them at bay with a superb save from substitute Steven Pienaar's header early in the second half.
This is a landmark moment for City, who can now mix it with Europe's biggest clubs on the pitch after proving more than a match for them with their financial firepower off it.
And Champions League qualification also provides a footballing incentive as they pursue high-profile signings in addition to the riches already on offer for their transfer targets.
Tevez returned on the bench for the first time since tearing his hamstring at Liverpool early last month in an attempt to stake his claim for a place in City's Wembley line-up.

Spurs, meanwhile, replaced Gomes with veteran Italian Cudicini - although they insisted this was because of a back injury sustained by the Brazilian in training rather than a reaction to his recent indifferent form and expensive errors against Chelsea and Blackpool.
And Cudicini showed his quality after only nine minutes with a point-blank block from Edin Dzeko after the outstanding David Silva laid the ball into his path only eight yards out.
Silva's diminutive stature and elegance brought inevitable comparisons with the gifted Modric, who also excelled in the first half and twice almost put Spurs in front.
The Croatian had a shot deflected wide and was only inches away with a side-foot finish that beat Hart and was so close to finding the target that Spurs coach Kevin Bond initially rose to his feet and punched the air in celebration.
Spurs' disappointment was doubled as City went ahead seconds later. They failed to track Milner as he worked a short corner with Adam Johnson and his low driven cross was turned into his own net at the near post by Crouch.

Bale named PFA Player of the Year

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has been named as PFA Player of the Year, with Arsenal's Jack Wilshere winning the Young Player award.
Arsenal's Sami Nasri was second in the voting with Manchester City's Carlos Tevez third.
Blackpool's Charlie Adam, Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, West Ham midfielder Scott Parker and Bale's team-mate Rafael van der Vaart were also nominated.
Bale is the fourth Welshman to win the award with Ryan Giggs, Mark Hughes (twice) and Ian Rush previous winners.
He is the first Tottenham player to win the award since David Ginola picked up the award in the 1999.
"I am more than delighted really. It is a massive award and it is a great honour to receive, especially from other fellow professionals," said Bale.
"It is a honour really when you look at the names that have won it before and it just makes you go 'wow' really.
"There haven't been too many Welshman to have won the trophy but it is great and it is great for me personally."
The PFA Premier League Team of Year was: Van Der Sar; Sagna, Vidic, Kompany Cole; Nani, Nasri, Wilshere, Bale; Tevez, Berbatov.
Bale and Nasri were also on the Young Player shortlist but Wilshere took that honour.
"It is my first full season and it is a massive award, especially from my fellow players. It is amazing," he said.
"Arsenal is a good club for bringing youngsters through and they keep proving it so I would like to thank the manager as well."
Manchester City's Joe Hart, Everton's Seamus Coleman and Manchester United duo Nani and Javier Hernandez were also nominated.
